Week of 9/15 – Paving tentatively scheduled to be completed by the end of the week – depending on weather. Please to not park within project limits during this time.
Week of 9/22 – Signs will be installed throughout the project area and after local signs are placed, the detour signs will be removed.
Week of 9/29 – Striping and final turf restoration will be completed.
October – FINISH LINE (with the exception of few minor details that will not affect driving).
Geneva is home to 537 residents on the northwest side of Geneva Lake and located along Interstate 35 between the cities of Owatonna and Albert Lea.
Our economy has 35+ businesses and employs over 300 people. Geneva takes pride in the many city-wide fundraising events held throughout the year to raise money for the fight against cancer.
Geneva was platted in 1857, but our post office has been in operation since 1855.
The city was named after Geneva, NY and was the birthplace of Lawrence B. Anderson (1906-1994), noted architect and educator who graduated from the University of Minnesota and lead the architecture school at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
